Marc_Bron Posted August 21, 2023 Posted August 21, 2023 I work on Affinity on two computers - in the office and at home. I have the same version of affinity - 2.1.1. At home I am able to open the file, at work I get an error. I reinstalled the application, restarted the computer, nothing helps and the deadlines are chasing :( Quote
walt.farrell Posted August 21, 2023 Posted August 21, 2023 For a brief period a few weeks ago, an update from 2.1.1 to 2.2 was mistakenly released. If you happened to install that update, then any files you saved on that system would be in the 2.2 format, which is not compatible with computers running 2.1.1. Please confirm again what releases you're running on your computers. Help > About or the Account dialog will show it. Marc_Bron Posted August 21, 2023 Author Posted August 21, 2023 (edited) Hi, thank you for your answer! That must be it, because I usually installs all the updates that come out. Is there any way to undo a file version? I'm not at home right now so I can't check if I have version 2.2.0 installed there but it's likely. So when working on this file I have to work on the Beta version? I am a bit afraid that it is unstable and may complicate my situation even more. Edited August 21, 2023 by Marc_Bron Quote
Marc_Bron Posted August 21, 2023 Author Posted August 21, 2023 Ok, I found a solution! I opened the file in version 2.2.0 in the BETA program and copied the new and modified elements to the file in version 2.1.1. now i will save it in this version. As for the update on the home computer, it will reinstall the application and the mistaken update should uninstall itself. walt.farrell 1 Quote
