So, I don't find that I have the time or patience for the Beta program - it's a fine thing,  it's just too disruptive to my work schedule.

But, I don't see a clear way out - can I go back to 2.2, or whatever the most stable current version is? Can I open the documents I've been working on with more advanced versions if I do?

Love the software. Just need to have a more stable platform for my work.

If this has been dealt with already, please just direct me to the spot - I can't find it.

Thanks!

You shouldn't even need to reinstall the retail version, unless you for some reason deleted it. Which you shouldn't have done, as the beta is just for testing, not production work.

As Debra mentioned, you cannot open documents Saved in the 2.2 Beta in your retail (probably 2.1.1) release. But if you did save any critical files there, you can try the copy/paste method. If that doesn't work (and it may not, if you've used any new functions), you'll need to keep using the Beta for those files.

You can also wait for the official patch to version 2.2 and leave the beta program after updating and before beta 2.3 starts.
