I apply a filter. (Noise Reduction)

I adjust the settings then click Apply.

However after that I can not see the applied filter in Layers Studio Stack.

(I want to do before after comparison by disabling & enabling the filter.)

Why???

Hi @Mainecoon364,

In the Filters studio panel did you check that 'Add Live Filters' was enabled? So long as this setting is enabled any filters you add will be added non-destructively and available for toggling in the layers panel.

But It is added on the same layer. So I can not open and close it because original layer is also close and open with it as well.

The default assistant behaviour will automatically nest the filter/adjustment layer onto your current selection. To Toggle the visibility and amend the adjustment you would need to expand the layer via the arrow, at which point it can be amended and toggled.

You can amend the assistant behaviour under the Document menu > Assistant > Change 'Adding Filters to Selection' to 'Take No Action'. Going forward this will add the adjustment to the top of the layer stack rather than nesting it.

How to unnest the layer?

Expand the parent layer, so both are visible.

Click the thumbnail of the layer you want to move, to select it. Then drag the adjustment layer name up until it's outside the parent, watching the blue highlight line.
