Override page margins?

Recommended Posts

On the Pages panel, right (or CTRL) click on the desired page or Master page & select "Spread Properties" & in the dialog that opens, select the "Margins" tab. There you can change the margin settings for that page or Master page.

More about this in the Margins help topic.

@R C-RThanks for your kind reply. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to change anything for me. Maybe I haven;t explained the issue properly.

I have a Master Page, with a text box (the full size of the page margins, and text is flowing through the series of pages based on same. On just one of these I would like to 'break' the text box margin, but I can't find a way to select and change the width of the text box margin. I hope that's clearer.

I did try as you suggested, first reducing and then increasing the outer margin number, but neither seemed to make a difference to the text box margin on the page in question. Is there a way to 'select' that, one a page-at-a-time basis, and manipulate? Many thanks again.

I think what you want to do is not to change the page margins but the size (?) of a text frame set up in a Master page on just a selected page. If this is so, I think what you want to do is use "Edit Detached" on the master layer of that document page.

If this is not what you mean, can you post a simple Affinity format document with the master & a few document pages in it, set up as in the one you are having problems with, or at least a screenshot showing the expanded Layers panel for that document page?
