AP: Edge-only crop marks selection not retained in saved print profile

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have created a print profile in Affinity Publisher; in this case 30 up business cards on a 13" x 19" sheet.  I have selected the check boxes for "Include printers marks", "Include crop marks" and "Edge only".  The document prints just fine.  However, when I go to reuse the print profile at a later time, the "Edge only" option is unchecked.  The other two options are retained, but this one seems to not be saving.  Not the end of the world, but just annoying to have to remember an extra step.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or done by design (the reasoning escapes me).  Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,

Dave.

Hi @idothebooks2,

Just tried to replicate this but for me, Edge Only is greyed out BUT it does get ticket when i enable Include Crop Marks and this settings is remembered as part of the preset.

Which make and model printer are you using?  I know the Print window is mainly controlled by the print driver but if i can replicate this, i can get something logged to see if we can get that option to be remembered :)

Thanks for the quick response @stokerg.

Mainly I print to a PDF per our normal workflow.  As an experiment, I created another print profile using our Xerox Versant EX-i 280 as the destination device.  Again when I re-opened the document and selected the newly saved profile "Edge only" was not ticked.

As an aside, perhaps an item for the suggestion box, it would be handy (for me anyway) to have the same layout models ie. single, tiled, n-up available in the "Export" function.

Regards,

Dave.
