fysmworld
Windows 10 with Affinity 2.1.1 Something weird started happening just today. Whenever I go to edit an adjustment layer (double click on the thumbnail of the layer), it automatically merges with my bottom layer. The bottom layer is a converted raw file as this is for photography, and the other layers are all adjustment layers. But wtf?
firstdefence
Could be a corrupt profile or simply a glitch in the matrix, either way, you can clear a few settings by launching the app with the CTRL key held down, a Clear User Data window will pop up, you can try the first entry Clear User Defaults and see if that solves the problem. If you can create a screen recording of the complete application window showing this happening, it might help us figure out what's happening. Whenever I go to edit an adjustment layer (double click on the thumbnail of the layer), Why double click? Here on Mac OS I just click on it to open the edit window. Is this double click necessary on Windows? Regardless, a double click shouldn't merge the Adjustment Layer. Do you have any third party utilities running? Does the mouse you use require special drivers? Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.2 Affinity Designer 2.3.1 | Affinity Photo 2.3.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.3.1 | Beta versions as they appear. By the way, in macOS 10.12.6 | Affinity V1 a double click is required to open an adjustment layer's dialog – while a single click does either nothing or reduces a possible current selection of several layers to the layer selection of the adjustment layer only. It was changed in V2 to require just a single click, I believe for all supported OS versions for both Macs & Windows. I can't think of any reason why it should require a double click so I guess that is considered to be an improvement in V2 vs. V1. thomaso 1 Quote All 3 1.10.8, & all 3 V23.0 Mac apps; 2020 iMac 27"; 3.8GHz i7, Radeon Pro 5700, 32GB RAM; macOS 10.15.7 Affinity Photo 1.10.8; Affinity Designer 1.108; & all 3 V2 apps for iPad; 6th Generation iPad 32 GB; Apple Pencil; iPadOS 15.
