andriko Posted August 8, 2023 Posted August 8, 2023 I must not be the only one missing this handy Paste Special where I could paste in copied layers as one PNG. There were other options integrated as well, but I don't recall them by heart. Can this be re-added in an upcoming update, pretty please? Quote
walt.farrell Posted August 8, 2023 Posted August 8, 2023 Paste Special still exists, and what you've described still exists. andriko Posted August 11, 2023 Author Posted August 11, 2023 Well, I am working on a Mac right now and I am missing this in Affinity Designer+Photo v2.1.1 (see screenshot). Just checked and it is available in the Windows version. Would be handy to have in for IOS as well, I think. Quote

It's a function only on Windows, and was never a function on the Mac versions of the Affinity applications. There's nothing to "bring back". Other Mac users have commented before that they'd like to see it implemented there. 36 minutes ago, andriko said: Would be handy to have in for IOS as well, I think. Pasting is weird enough on iPadOS that I'm not sure whether this could work, but if it can work then yes, it would be nice andriko 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. fde101 Posted August 11, 2023 Posted August 11, 2023 In the meantime, I would suggest trying a normal Paste, then group the pasted layers and rasterize the group. andriko and walt.farrell 2 Quote
andriko Posted August 12, 2023 Author Posted August 12, 2023 Correct that a "bring back" is not correct if it was not there before - which I was sure it was. Maybe I got fooled because I work seamlessly with both systems. Still, I hope if it can be done, it will be nice to have. walt.farrell 1 Quote
