Affinity Designer 2.1.1 is not starting (Windows)

Hello!

I have a problem with the Affinity Desinger V2.

It is not starting the program any more.

The loading screen appears for some seconds and then nothing happens.

Already uninstalled and re-installed the program, but it had no affect.

Added the last error report if it would be helpful?

Hi @horn3t05 and welcome to the forum.

Has the launch worked before?
If so, what changed before?
If no, are the drivers for the graphics card up to date?

It may help to reset user data in Designer. Press and hold the CTRL key while starting Designer.
Deselect everything except Clear User Defaults in the Affinity Designer 2 section.

@Komatös thanks for your response.

The last time it worked was around June 8th and there has not been any changes on the system I have done (that I can remember)

Drivers are all the latest updated (RTX3070)

Your hint with the user defaults didn´t help at all. Do you have any other hints I can try out?

Hi,

From time to time, I have the same problem as you. I click on Designer or Photo or Publisher, and for a short time, a progress wheel appears, and then nothing happens.

It is very frustrating.

In my case, I solved the solution with Advanced SystemCare. Here is the link to my post about the problem:

I think the problem is inside the registry. After Advanced SystemCare finished, all three applications are working again. I am on Windows 10 and use the latest v2 versions.

Try the free version first and see if that solves your problem. If not, you can buy the Pro version if you wish.

The first time, I re-installed the applications, however, that is a very tiresome process.
