Tamla Posted August 7, 2023 Posted August 7, 2023 I have created a document on Affinity publisher and from page 2 onwards each pair of pages are showing a double page spread view. I would like to save as a pdf with one page following the other and no double paged view. Please could you help with this? Many Thanks
Staff NathanC Posted August 7, 2023 Staff Posted August 7, 2023 Welcome to the forums @Tamla, Prior to exporting to PDF, you can untick 'Facing Pages' under Document Setup > Model to swap to single pages. Alternatively, in the PDF export settings change the 'Area' to 'All Pages'.
Old Bruce Posted August 7, 2023 Posted August 7, 2023 @Tamla and @NathanC, I would strongly suggest using Nathan's "Alternative" suggestion and stay away from using the Document Setup. The reason for this is because then the PDF will be single pages even though you start with double page spreads. There will be projects that have multiple Master Pages applied, as well as asymmetric margins and changing the Document Setup to Single pages can cause problems with editing later on. It is far easier to get a good looking document with Facing Pages for the layout even if you only want to export a Single pages PDF. Going the other way is going to may well cause a great deal of grief. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
thomaso Posted August 7, 2023 Posted August 7, 2023 … not to mention those layout elements that are placed across a spread (over the spine) which would require manual fixes if you change Document Setup > Model from facing to single pages.
