Affinity Designer v2 froze after placing a photo and then opening the file again never opened it, just kept showing a "Loading document" message.

I have uninstalled the program, reinstalled it and it still won't open my document. I have tried to open other versions of the same document but it doesn't open either.

I lost the work of an entire afternoon???? 😡

Strange, can you upload one of the documents that does not open so we can see if the document is faulty or your "environment"

I have sent you the link to the file by personal message.

I have asked a friend to open the file on his Windows PC and it has opened normally, in fact I have been able to open it myself on iPad.

File opens fine for me

But I do not have your linked files so they are not loading

2 of the 3 linked files are showing as Linked (Remote) - Cloud storage?

You could try manually breaking the link to the Linked files to see if the document will now open for you

PS No more PMs please, I am no more trustworthy than anyone else you don't know in this forum. Post to the forum or request a dropbox link from the moderators if the file is private

Sure enough, I re-linked the images on my iPad and then it allowed me to reopen the document on my Macbook. Another solution was to export the document from my iPad as a Template.

.aftemplate

But it leaves a very bored, what would have happened if I didn't have my iPad? I would have lost all the work on that document. I think it is a very critical bug that Serif should fix.

Again Affinity Designer crashes to freeze again. I don't understand how it has such a basic bug, I embedded an svg from my iPad, it was embedded! , then I went to my Macbook to continue the work and it turned out that as soon as I touch that svg image with the pointer of one, the program crashes!
This is horrible, I am not wasting my time with this program again!
