Sélect tool rectangle magnet

I would like to be able to select a drawing area on a grid configured 256 x 256 pixel on a 2048 x 2048 canvas.

 

Select a 256x256 square with magnet on the grid.

I'm not sure what you mean by "select a drawing area". 

It's certainly possible to configure a 256x256 grid, and it's possible to draw, e.g., a Rectangle Shape filling one of the grid squares.

Also, which application are you using, and what release of that application?

Hello, I use affinity photo (since yesterday), yes what I would like to do is to select a square of 256x256 from the grid in a precise way with the magnetization if possible.

Hi Ruddy,

Not directly, you can however create a square to fit your 256x256 grid, then use the menu select > selection from layer, then delete your square layer.

I use it on iPad, thanks for the answer, actually I succeeded with this solution, I'll get used to it. It would be great to be able to edit the selection with snapping to the grid without having to modify the layer. Thanks
