Table Inset - link/unlink checkbox missing ?

Recommended Posts

Is it my imagination, or was there not a checkbox to link / delink the Table Frame Insets and Table Cell Insets?

Now any change to one inset - such as Top - changes all the other insets in that group.

I've looked about but can't find any checkbox or toggle that I may have inadvertently changed.

Am I missing something or has the checkbox gone?

Hi @Dennison,

They are both actually there, though simply not visible in Light Mode... You can still click it to turn them off/on in Light Mode, you just have to guess where the icon is... I think this may be a known issue as there are quite a few instances where there is a lack of icon contrast in Light Mode...

I think you just need to adjust the display settings. I use the light mode and have no problem seeing the link/unlink checkboxes.

There may be differences between Windows and Mac, certainly on Mac when the options are linked, regardless of the UI Brightness setting you wouldn't realise the chain icon was there in the first place when it is linked...

Looks like it must just be a problem with Macs!

Hey tzvi20,

Are you referring to this issue that you reported:

image.png

I believe what you reported is slightly different (though on the surface, it looks like the same issue) because we can fix the menu issue by adjusting the UI sliders. For this thread, the linked icon cannot be fixed by adjusting the UI sliders.

I want to ensure I haven't missed something you've reported.

you haven't. I thought that if the OP adjusts the sliders it fixes the issues the way that the contrast issues affected me by playing around with the sliders in settings.

Unfortunately not in this instance :( The dialog in macOS is still using the Dark UI button set for the Light UI panel. As the Dark UI Linked button is the same colour as the Panel Background, it effectively 'disappears'.
