I see this on both 2.1 and the 2.2 beta. i don't use shift a lot when drawing so don't know if it's new, or even if this is by design.

But if I'm using a Vector Brush that adjust size based on pressure (ie, light pressure=thin stroke, heavy pressure=thick stroke) and if I hold Shift while drawing the stroke will be drawn with the maximum width (that is, as if I am pressing down hard on the stylus).  In fact, with Shift down, I get the same sized line as if I had the Controller setting set to None.

With the Pixel brush, this does not seem to be the case.  Is it intentional or a bug?

This is on MacOS, btw

thanks

Hi Benfischer,

I'm struggling to replicate this here I'm afraid. Are you using a tablet etc or using a mouse and simulating pressure via the stroke panel?

Thanks

Another Shift-related issue that I've noticed.  If I press Shift before I touch the pen to my tablet, the line is constrained to a straight line.  if I press shift AFTER I touch the pen to the tablet, the line is not visible.  It's actually being drawn, but not shown on screen.  The lines don't show up until I get out of the Brush mode.  In the attached video, the black line is not pressing Shift (note how wobbly it is). the Red line is pressing shift before I touched the stylus to the tablet (note that it's straight and fat but all lines are done with the same pressure) and the blue line is pressing Shift after the stylus touches the tablet.  Note that the last two lines were drawn with Shift NOT depressed. Nothing shows up until I clicked on the Move tool.

This does NOT happen if the controller is set to None (it was set to pressure in the video as you may see)

I see it in both Designer 2.1 and the 2.2 beta.  2.2 Beta is a little more finicky though.  Sometimes it does the same and sometimes it does in fact draw the line after I pick the stylus up.

thanks

Edit to clarity the last two lines in the video
