Compositor K
I have several versions of a logo imported from Adobe Illustrator CS6. Initially, the colors in all the files were washed out--lighter than they should be, both in the Designer file and when placed in an .html file and displayed in a browser. The colors were black (000000), azure (0080ff), and another blue (336699). Flailing about with the Swatches panel, selecting the image and clicking one thing or another, I have been able to get some of the files of each color to show the color correctly. But I cannot for the life of me reproduce the fix at will, or figure out what makes the difference. Regardless of whether the color shows correctly or not, when the image is selected, the color wheel shows the same hex and Hsl values. But the color is different in the color wheel as well as in the image itself. Has anyone encountered this? Any suggestions? Staff Callum Posted July 26, 2023 Staff Share Posted July 26, 2023 Hi Compositor K, Do you have the same colour space / colour profile applied to both documents? If you do please could you provide a copy of the problem files? Thanks C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP. Compositor K
@Callum That was it. The problem files had Color Format RGB/32 (HDR), Color Profile sRGB IEC61966-2.1 (Linear) The good ones had RGB/8, Color Profile sRGB IEC61966-2.1. I tried changing the document type from Print to Web, but it would never stick. Thank you, Callum!
