Hi folks,

I have stacked ha,o,and s fits files after adding them with the correct filter. After stacking only the Sii layer appears. I was planning to change the names to use a JR composition macro from AP-1. I repeated this and the same thing happened. I have stacked many times using practice files but this has never happened before.

Thanks for any help.

Thought I would add a bit.  When stacked 16 files were noted. There was nothing unusual up to the point that I applied the stack of 16 fits all labeled and added according to ha,o and s. Afterwards I saw only a SII layer.

Hi Irandar,

I'm not sure if I understand this issue if possible could you provide screenshots or a screen recording that demonstrates this problem?

Thanks

Hello @Callum  When one stacks frames taken with several filters, then on AP there is a way of specifying the filter type, such as R,G, and B, or maybe Ha, O and S. After stacking and applying one then sees a pixel layer for each filter. Now I have stacked fits files which are available from Telescope Live. These fits files also have a designation regarding the filter. I loaded them according to the filter type but after stacking the individual filter pixel layers are not shown, only the last one loaded. It may be that fits files cannot or need not be loaded separately. What do you think?

Thanks and regards.

Hello @Callum Here is a screenshot. I stacked a total of 17 Fits files from Tel Live, lum. red green blue . Blue was the last. Here you see that only the blue pixel layer shows. I was expecting to see all of them because I wanted to use one of JRs composite macro, for which you have to rename them. Maybe this is not possible with FITS files.

Thanks for your help

@Callum  I just saw a video from JR

in which he stacked in groups for each filter rather than in filter types. I will try this and report back. Thanks and regards
