Jobas
Hi, I think affinity publisher. V2 is great but I have one problem on the iPad version. I have graphics on my pages and certain graphics get replaced with other graphics. It’s really annoying. It tends to be the same ones and I have to go in and change the picture back to what it was. It’s started happening with a few of them which is quite worrying as I don’t know if it’s done more and I just haven’t seen them. . Any help would be amazing. Any help would be amazing. walt.farrell
Are these graphics Linked files? If so, what kind of files, and where are they located? Jobas
They png files that I have created from affinity photo and I used the place tool to bring them from my iPad photos. I cannot see that these graphics are linked apart.
walt.farrell
Thanks. If you open the Resource Manager Studio, do they show as Linked or Embedded? You should also be able to see your document's linking vs embedding setting, but I'm away from my iPad and can't describe how to see the document setup there to verify it. Are the pictures completely changing to different pictures in your Publisher document? Jobas
Yes they are changing to other pictures that are in the same document. Not sure where the resource manager studio is

walt.farrell
Thanks. That is reminiscent of a bug that was fixed already. What release of Publisher 2 are you running? You can get the full release number using the Account dialog from the application Home Screen. It will be in the upper-right corner. The bug involved files with the same size (pixel dimensions) being interchanged with other files in the document, and it was fixed in 2.0.4. https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/search/&tags=AFB-7053 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. walt.farrell
Thanks. I suppose it might be a variant of the earlier bug, though. Can you confirm whether all the embedded images have the same pixel dimensions? Can you give us screenshots of what the Resource Manager shows for some of them (perhaps 2 or 3) that have changed? Jobas
The chord boxes swap and the other one would be swapped by that letter A. The A has stopped swapping at the moment. Your comment for the chord boxes made sense about size etc. anything I can do about it?
walt.farrell
1 hour ago, Jobas said: and the other one would be swapped by that letter A. Thanks for the screenshots. As the other one and the A are different sizes, it's probably not the same bug as the one they fixed earlier. 1 hour ago, Jobas said: anything I can do about it? Not that I know of. When one of the Serif staff get to this topic, they can checkwhether it's a problem they already know of (and if there's a fix) or log it as a new problem.
