The answer would be dependant upon what sort of grid you want to create.

If you just want a standard ‘X by Y’ grid of layers of the same size and shape then you can use the Quick Grid functionality.

If that’s not what you want then a visual example would help us to understand what you want.

(I know you gave the title as “Masonry grid” but we might not have the same idea as you as to what that means or what your specific requirements are – e.g. relative sizes, gaps, etc.)

Is there any way to automatically generate a grid with picture frames in publisher? Or just pictures 😅

What the video to the end to see if the Auto-Flow function does what you want

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

Not quite what I'm after. This is a masonry grid/layout. I guess the term is more used in web design. However, the video gave me a new idea. 😃 But I'm still curious if it's possible to generate masonry or if it has to be done by hand =D

Thanks for the image; that makes it clearer.

As far as I know that’s not possible automatically.

One thing you can do though is to create each column manually and then create an Asset from each column and then re-use them as necessary.

Alternatively, if you can find some software that will generate the pattern of rectangles and export them to SVG then you should be able to import the SVG into Publisher and then convert the shapes to Picture Frames all at once.
