I'm quite new to photo editing, although I'm loving Affinity Photo so far! I saw the thread about stop animation but I am not completely familiar with the terminology so I'm not sure if what I want to do is the same.

Is it possible to insert an animated picture into Affinity Photo and preserve the animation? I have seen that this is possible in photoshop - here is a video showing what I want to do https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pvmjmh0UjHk but am not sure if it is possible in Affinity Photo.

Thank you very much!

Hi Sdavis2,

Welcome to the Forums :)

Unfortunately Affinity Photo doesn't support animated .GIF files at the moment. However that doesn't mean that it wont happen in the future!
