leonahussey
When I add a new artboard, the canvas/workspace (what do you call it?) turns pale grey. i want it to remain dark grey. this doesn't happen in the video.
Staff MEB Posted March 15, 2016 Staff Share Posted March 15, 2016 Hi leonahussey, Currently there's no way to change the colour of the pasteboard in documents with artboards. Which video are you referring to? Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
Noob
YES -- The canvas background "dark gray" should remain the same with artboards too.
R C-R
You can sort of fake this by creating a very large rectangle filled with whatever color you want & moving it below all the artboards (so that it isn't a child of any artboard). However, even though it won't print its color will be visible on the transparent parts of every artboard while you work, so to work around that, you could set each artboard to have a fill of its own, like pure white if that won't interfere visually with your artboard content. Locking the filled rectangle layer will prevent it from being selected with the Move tool, which otherwise could be annoying. Noob
@RC-R Good suggestion, but that's a pretty dirty hack in my opinion.
