Why is it not easy possible to simple cut and past a selection like in photoshop. A simple so often used function. I don´t want to do a f... mask. I am so p... off. Thinking of leaving this App...

I try to cut out parts in one layer with rectangle tool, and then past it maybe in another layer... Like in Photoshop. This is absolutely ground work to do a 1000 times.

Am I stupid, or just don´t know it. I cannot find any YT video, because it is so simple but needed.

It would help to have a screenshot of your complete application window, with the Layers panel included, and the layer in question highlighted.

Lacking that, here's a guess: you're working with an Image layer (a kind of container) rather than a Pixel layer. If so, you'll need to Rasterize it before you can access its pixels. You can do that from the Layer menu or by right-clicking on it in the Layers panel.

And now I solved it how? I load the pics in Procreate on my Ipad and did it there, Easy task there. This is so ambarissing.

Different programs, different methods.

If you don't give us more information, we can't help you discover how easy it is in the Affinity applications, too.
