Renéééé
I would like to know if it’s possible to work at home on my desktop and simultaneously on my iPad on the same project. If so can you point out where I can find this information? Thanks in advance.
walt.farrell
Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. Simultaneously, as in actively editing on both machines at the same time? No. Serially (desktop, then iPad, then desktop, for example): Yes. But it can be tricky. You could save the files on a network or cloud drive, so they would be accessible to both. If you are planning to use text, you'll need to have identical fonts installed on both machines. If you use any Linked resources, unless you're using Dropbox or iCloud for cloud storage, you may need to relink them when changing from one machine to the other. On the iPad, you will want to Save the project at the end of a session, and Close the project on the application's Home Screen or Live Docs. There may be other things to work out. This is not documented, as far as I know. You should also keep local backup copies, and multiple versions of them, in case something gets messed up. Renéééé
Thanks for your quick reply. Sorry to hear that it’s tricky and not so easy. But I will give it a try with your suggestions. It would be great if it worked. Maybe this could be fixed on the next update. Surely the benefits would be great for a lot of people.
