Mac versions of PhotoPlus, WebPlus, PagePlus

Recommended Posts

I am about to retire and have used all of the Adobe suite at work and use the Serif Suite at home on a PC, but I also have a Mac computer at home and would like to use the Serif/Affinity Suite on both. Is their any likelihood of the programmes being available on the Mac and if so any time scale?

Hi Teejay123,

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

The Serif Plus product range will not be available for Mac.

You can only run it on a Mac using using Bootcamp to create a Windows partition, or installing a virtualization software like Parallels or VMware Fusion to create a virtual machine running Windows OS.

Webplus is excellent and could have been a very good partner for the Affinity line, potentially part of a suite.

Can't understand why development has been shelved for it.

Was looking forward to the next release in the light of Affinity's success.

Sorry to hear it has Cinderella status.

Because they are focusing on Photo, Designer, and Publisher. They are not a huge company, they are not Adobe with endless resources to try and make apps and support them for everything everyone wants.

The current range of apps are still very new and while good still have much refinement and features that need to be added. You can ruin a good thing by spreading yourself too thin.

When I try to install page plus x9 on Windows  in parallels on my MacBook I get an error “Setup has encountered a problem and needs to close error code 31”

has anyone tried this?

Serif's legacy product range is supported only via the forums at https://community.serif.com so I suggest asking over there.

Also because the project manager left for pastures new. Not to mention the fact that WebPlus can only create sites with fixed layouts, so responsive or even merely adaptive features would have required a complete rewrite.
