Hi,

I stacked multiple batches of RAW photos into HDR files with Affinity Photo 2.1.1. Now I want to export these as .hdr files (Radiance HDR format).
For some of my files this works just fine but for others the exported file is just entirely black. While the miniature previews in Finder look fine, opening them in Apple's Preview or Photos apps only shows black.

I attached four files, the developed HDRs as .afphoto files and the exported .hdr files for two different photos, respectively.
For hdr42 everything works fine and as expected. With hdr02 I am encoutering the issues described above.
Both of these HDRs were created in exactly the same way.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Hi Jonas Reiher,

From what I can tell, HDR radiance are not supported on Apple Photo's or OSX natively. Icon previews are generated at file creation and aren't actually in that format.

Hi, that is certainly not the case since it works flawlessly for some of my files, e.g. the attached hdr42.hdr file. This can be displayed in Preview, QuickLook, Photos, etc. without a problem. I have used the Radiance HDR format before for exactly this reason.
