Nielsdv Posted July 13, 2023 Posted July 13, 2023 Hello everyone, I have a problem with curving a file into a curved shape. In the image below you can see the project, the picture has to fit into the black lines. It will be printed around a trashcan, so it has to have the right dimensions. I already tried the "warp - arc horizontal" but it won't fit and it doens't curve the image of the mountains. Can anyone help me with this problem? *I have the file PETman Stramien [PRINT].afdesign
GarryP Posted July 13, 2023 Posted July 13, 2023 (edited) Welcome to the forums @Nielsdv The Warp Group functionality in Designer is not designed to work with raster layers (Image, Pixel). You can use the Live Mesh Warp Filter in the Pixel Persona instead – menu “Layer → New Live Filter Layer → Mesh Warp”. Note: You will need to rasterise the thing you want to warp so you might want to take a copy of it first. Attached is a crudely-done mock-up using that functionality – you need to take more time over it to get the best result. Edited July 13, 2023 by GarryP Added note.

Dazmondo77 Posted July 13, 2023 Posted July 13, 2023 Or if you want to retain all vectors, warp separately to the background image - see attached, open and inspect PETman Stramien [PRINT] warped.afpub Mac Pro Cheese-grater (Early 2009) 2.93 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon 48 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 ECC Ram, Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 580 8GB GDDR5, Ugee 19" Graphics Tablet Monitor Triple boot via OCLP 2.2.0 - Mac OS Monterey 12.7.6, Sonoma 14.7.3 and Mojave 10.14.6 Affinity Publisher, Designer and Photo 1.10.5 - 2.6.2 Betas 2.6. www.bingercreative.co.uk

In addition to the warping solutions mentioned above: To avoid the text getting stretched (and the illustrations + the diagonal lines) you better would create it separately and thus place the text on curved vector path (as text frames) and outline as a masking shape for the photo and semi-transparent objects + position the illustrations accordingly rotated. • MacBookPro Retina 15" | macOS 10.14.6 | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1 • iPad 10.Gen. | iOS 18.6.2 | Affinity V2.6.3
