iBesana
I'm currently exploring Affinity Designer 2.0 with the plans of migrating coming from ADOBE. However, I would still need my files readily available for Illustrator in case suppliers or my work would require the editable file. I was successfully able to do this by exporting my single artboard to PDF (for export) settings. But when I attempted to export multiple artboards, the file turns to a single raster image in Illustrator. Is there a workaround to this? P.S. I hope I am just missing out on certain steps needed coz I'm loving Affinity Designer already. Edited July 12, 2023 by iBesana
Hangman
Hi @iBesana and welcome to the forums, This should work without any issues if you are using CC 2019 or above, though there may be certain features in the two software's that are incompatible. When you open the PDF in Illustrator do you see a pop-up window that lets you select a page range or select all pages, along with a check box that says 'Import PDF pages as links for optimal performance'? Assuming you do, then did you try selecting all pages and unchecking the links box? Are you able to upload your pdf so we can see if there is anything in it that could be incompatible with Illustrator?
