  •    What is your operating system and version (Windows 11, OSX Ventura, iOS 16 etc)?

OSX Ventura

  •    What happened for you (and what you expected to happen)

I changed monitor setup. The top of the panel is off the screen and I cannot move it.

  •    Provide a recipe for creating the problem (step-by-step what you did).

What I tried to do to fix it already:

1. disconnect all other monitors.

2. Rearranged monitors in System Preferences.

3. Quit and reopened the app multiple times wiht a variety of monitor configurations.

  •    Screenshots (very handy) or a screen capture/video.

  •    Any unusual hardware (like tablets or external monitors or drives that may affect things) or relevant other applications like font managers or display managers.

I used a portrait 4K monitor. This is now in a different slot.

  •    Did this same thing used to work and if so have you changed anything recently? (software or hardware)

Because of a bad port, I had to plug that into a different slot of the computer. Mac didn't recognize it as the same monitor. Therefore, the top and bottom is off the screen.

Ok, I was able to fix by setting the NEW 4K portrait as a display.

FontLab has a more customizable set of panels, and when you change monitors the top of the panel goes into view.

Any luck if you follow these steps?

Go to menu View -> Studio -> Reset Studio.

Thanks! Found it in windows, but yeah, I was originally looking in View. And I'm not used to the term "Studio" but "Workspaces". I guess programs like Da Vinci say "Studio"?

I'd still recommend the Affinity team for something to move panels back on the screen if the monitors change.

Thanks Red Sands!
