When I import a rtf file to Publisher, the styles are imported too. If there are styles with the same name, one of them gets a number  in his name. Is there any possibilty to import the file so that the styles which are in the publisher file are used? So I must change the style for every paragraph I import to the right one. Is this the right way?

If the text style defined in the RTF file exactly matches the text style you have defined in Publisher, it should retain the same text style name and appearance. If you get a new text style name, that should mean that the two style definitions have some difference. If they differ, there is no way to get the imported text to use the Text Styles you have already defined.

You can use the Find and Replace panel in Publisher to find all text with text style A and replace the text style with text style B. That would be more efficient than doing each paragraph individually.
