anto
MacOS Ventura. I can't insert an image into a frame that's off the page using the drag-and-drop method. This applies to MacOS. Version Publisher 2.2 beta. Watch the video. If part of the frame is off-page, or if the frame is off-page, strange things happen. I tested this behavior on Windows. Versions 1.10.6, 2.1.1, beta 2.2 work correctly. 2023-07-06 о 18.55.18.mov loukash

Staff EmT Posted July 7, 2023 Staff Share Posted July 7, 2023 Hi @anto This behaviour is not beta specific and is due to differing behaviour between OS when placing images via Drag-Drop. On MacOS if you Drag-Drop an image from finder into the grey space around Canvas, the image is opened in a new tab. On Windows, the image in placed inside current document. I have passed along your example to the devs. Quote List of V2 FAQ's | Beta Software Forums | Affinity Photo (V2) Tutorials | Affinity Designer (V2) Tutorials | Affinity Publisher (V2) Tutorials

This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release. Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions. If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Serif Info Bot to notify us. walt.farrell
13 minutes ago, anto said: his problem does not solved The problem that marked fixed was the one where you couldn't open another image by dragging it with an open document. From your other topic, you can do that now, so it seems the one they marked Fixed is, in fact, fixed. Your other topic seems to be about shariyng different. Staff EmT Posted November 23, 2023 Staff Share Posted November 23, 2023 Hi @anto That looks to be a different issue to the one in this thread. Please could you add your comments to the original thread you've linked, otherwise it clutters the forum. I didn't understand where to add what. The original thread title says that I wrote again in another thread because I had already forgotten about this thread. I had to look for it. Staff EmT Posted November 23, 2023 Staff Share Posted November 23, 2023 @anto The issue marked as fixed in this thread is related to a secondary issue you added here and I advised you this was already logged with the devs. That specific issue was where you could not open another file at all via drag and drop if you already had a file open on Mac. This issue has been fixed since build 2.2.0.1951. The original issue you posted about, and I now understand that you are saying you have made a second post about this issue, was to do with the difference in behaviour on Mac and Windows when you drag and drop an image or file into the grey space around the canvas. Which I explained here is not beta specific. The devs are aware of this difference in behaviour, it has been reported to them. You do not need to make new threads in regard to this issue. I cannot give a time frame on when it will be fixed. However, when it is, you will see a post from @Serif Info Bot advising you it is fixed and in which build. Thank you for your report. loukash 1 Quote List of V2 FAQ's | Beta Software Forums | Affinity Photo (V2) Tutorials | Affinity Designer (V2) Tutorials | Affinity Publisher (V2) Tutorials
anto
Thanks. Today I was working on Mac and encountered this problem, so I reported it. I had forgotten that I had ever reported something like this before.
