Hello community,
Affinity Photo (2.1.1 on a Windows 11 PC) asks at every program start if the automatic transfer of crash reports should be activated, although the corresponding menu item in the settings is not checked. Is this only the case for me? What can I do to stop this behavior?

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums.

  • Did you install using the MSIX installer, or the EXE installer?
  • Are you closing the application successfully, or is it crashing? Settings changes (and, I think, responses to prompts like that) are only saved in my experience when the application closes successfully.

  • the installation was done with the MSIX installer. I uninstalled Affinity Photo today, restarted the computer cleanly and installed it with the EXE installer. I could have saved that, :) because Affinity still asks from the first program start if I want to send the crash reports.

  • I can easily close the application after use, without crashes.
