Cannot open 2 programs at the same time

Recommended Posts

When I open affinity photo, for example, and then open designer while photo is still open, designer launches and closes directly, and conversely it's impossible to have both programs open at the same time, whereas before there was no problem.

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums.

If this worked "before", what has changed since then?

Also, please confirm which releases of Photo and Designer you're using. And for each, did you install using the MSIX installer or the EXE installer?

It would help to confirm the actual version, using the About dialog, not just say "latest". We often see users who say they have the latest, but who are downlevel. Or who have the beta versions, but are reporting issues in the wrong part of the forum.

But if you are using 2.1.1.1847 for both, are you saying that it was OK when you were running 2.0.4, but now seems to have problems since you updated to 2.1.0?

When you have the problem, does it generate a crash report?

@AlanPickup I know it's possible to open the 2 programs at the same time on Windows 11, but it doesn't work for me anymore. Just because it works for you doesn't mean it works for me.

@DWright I'll tell you everything I have,
ram 16 go

CPU AMD ryzen 7 5800X

GPU AORUS rtx 3070 ti master

and as mentioned above, it doesn't create a crash report for me, the 2nd program just closes without error codes or anything.
