publisher (MacOS v14.0. app v2.1.1) crashes immediately when put in background

1. What Application are you using? [Designer]
2. Are you using the latest release version?  2.1.1
3. Can you reproduce it?  Yes - launch publisher with any document
4. Does it happen for a new document? If not can you upload a document that shows the problem?  

exact steps to reproduce:

Launch publisher with any document
click on desktop or any other running application
Publisher crashes immediately.

 

Now as long as it stays as the active program it will function perfectly

MacOS 14 Sonoma is not yet officially supported by Affinity software.

The issue "[macOS Sonoma] App crash when clicking outside Window" (REF: AFB-7966) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.2.0.1925".
This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
