Affinity Designer | Continuous export

Recommended Posts

1. Saving the path we define to export. Every time I close and open the file, the file loses the designated path to export. We all have busy minds, not saving the path causes me to export my files in the wrong place, then I have to spend time cleaning up. Each time I open any files I have to remember to change the path before any changes.

2. I need an Export button in Design Persona so I can export my artboards without going to Export Persona.

3. I prefer to have a saving file trigger to export my artboards instead of having "continues export". I don't want to make my computer very slow just for every 1000 changes I make.

Thanks for designing amazing apps. ❤️

Already there, in the File menu, with a keyboard shortcut by default.

You can currently:

  • Configure the export in the Export Persona and trigger it manually using the "Export Slice(s)" button instead of making it continuous
  • Perform the export using the option in the File menu each time
  • Use an external macro utility (ex. Keyboard Maestro on the Mac) to automate switching to the export persona, activating Export Slice(s), and switching back to whatever persona you normally use, and have that triggered with a keystroke or other identifiable criteria known to the macro utility

It is possible that other options may open up when scripting is implemented, but it is not clear at this time exactly what options they will be making available.
