Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums.

Where did you download them from? And which application (and release) are you using?

I am using Affinity Designer 2 on iPad and it’s the newest release. The fonts have been downloaded from multiple sources but mostly from Fontshare. I want to use Switzer but they don’t work.

'Just wondering if you are trying to use the variable version of Switzer. If so, try using the OTF version instead.

It works for me on desktop, so I can only assume it must be an iPad specific problem. (Sorry that doesn't help much, but at least it narrows it down!)

The fonts worked before but now they are not working.

What did you change between "before" and "now"?

  • Have you updated iPadOS (from and to what release)?
  • Have you updated the app?
  • Are you installing them differently? (And how are you installing them?)

Hey, sorry for not responding.

I have updated iPadOS before though, I do not remember what release since it’s been quite a lot of updates. I have updated the app a couple times but the fonts stopped working after a specific update. And I am installing the fonts via the preferences tabs in the settings.

In the Settings app, what is the software version listed under ‘General > About’?

The version is 2.1.1.1847

I meant your OS version. Users of iPadOS 17 beta have reported problems with fonts.
