Mainecoon364 Posted June 30, 2023 Posted June 30, 2023 I add a partition of the object as you see in the video. Now I want to merge the two separate curves. I select the two with node tool. Then as you see A) Join B) Close C) Reverse buttons are unclickable and do not work on the Context Toolbar. How can I merge tham with these tools? How to use these tools? walt.farrell Posted June 30, 2023 Posted June 30, 2023 As far as I can see, you do not have two Curves selected; you have a group of nodes selected. Join, Close, Reverse are for Curves, I think. Staff NathanC Posted June 30, 2023 Staff Posted June 30, 2023 Hi @Mainecoon364, Your recording demonstrates that you have drawn a 4 node closed curve with all four nodes selected, therefore the following can be observed: A) Join curve is disabled as you only have the nodes of a single already closed curve selected, to use this function you would need to have the nodes of two separate, unclosed curves selected, you will then be given the option to join the curves to form a single object. B) Close curve is disabled as you already have a closed curve selected. C) Reverse curve on an unclosed curve swaps your selected node to allow you to draw from the opposite end, on V1 desktop and V2 iPad you can also show the orientation of the curve when it is reversed but I don't have V1 on iPad to check if this can be toggled currently. The V1 help guide linked below gives an overview of each of these functions. https://affinity.help/designeripad/English.lproj/pages/CurvesShapes/edit_linesAndShapes.html Quote
