moretap
Is there a way to import this Gradient (css) into Affinity? For example: background-image: linear-gradient(top, rgb(0,0,0) 0%, rgb(28,17,145) 36%, rgb(234,11,11) 74%, rgb(255,136,0) 86%, rgb(239,236,55) 93%, rgb(137,101, 8) 93%, rgb(0,0, 0) 100%); background-image: -moz-linear-gradient(center top, rgb(0,0,0) 0%,rgb(28,17, 145) 36%,rgb(234,11,11) 74%,rgb(255,136,0) 86%,rgb(239,236,55) 93%, rgb(137,101,8) 93%,rgb(0,0, 0) 100%); background-image: -webkit-gradient(linear, left top, left bottom, color-stop(0.000, rgb(0,0,0)),color-stop(0.366, rgb(28,17,145)), color-stop(0.750, rgb(234,11,11)),color-stop(0.865, rgb(255,136,0)), color-stop(0.935, rgb(239,236,55)),color-stop(0.935, rgb(137,101,8)), color-stop(1.000, rgb(0,0,0))); Or also, from a text file list of colors, written in RGB numbers (like attached image)? R C-R
I think the closest you could get to doing this in Affinity alone is to create or find an image that already uses just these colors or gradients, & then use one of the options to add the palette from that image. Dan C
Hi moretap, Not within Designer as far as i'm aware, but using a CSS to SVG converter seemed to work fine. https://www.kmhcreative.com/downloads/CSS2SVG.htm (note, the SVG it generates may import very small and will need to be expanded) Lee moretap

How does this allow the creation of a new Swatches panel palette? You can open the SVG file and add the gradient to a gradient palette... 12 hours ago, moretap said: Or also, from a text file list of colors, written in RGB numbers (like attached image)? You can in a bit of a roundabout way... Affinity software isn't very flexible when it comes to palette creation but you can actually add it as a .csv file to the Pantones folder if formatted correctly (see attached CSV file) and it will appear as an automatic palette in the Swatches Pantone section of the Colour Palette, though all the colours then appear as global spot colours. Alternatively, you could download a trial version of Vectorstyler which has a very flexible approach to palettes allowing you to convert multiple different file formats, including CSV, XML, JSON to ASE which you can then import directly into Affinity software... You can also import the attached .afpalette file into Affinity apps though again the colours will all appear as global spot colours... That's what I assumed but I wanted to make sure I was not missing something else that would be simpler. Yeah, that is a great feature for most cases.
