Abdushakur
So I am using a PSD file with textures. I have opened other PSD files 90% of the time without any problems but this one gives me an error pop up. Can anyone explain what this means and if there is a fix?
firstdefence
In all likelihood it's because a gradient mesh has been used from Photoshop and Affinity doesn't know what a gradient mesh is so Affinity throws an error message warning you. As far as I am aware this cannot be fixed until Affinity understands what a gradient mesh is. See this post for more details. veeper
Affinity please fix. Even Photopea can do it so I doubt this feature is locked behind Adobe paywall as you suggested in the linked thread.

Serif have never suggested that, as far as I know. Some users have suggested it, as in that linked thread, but not Serif staff. Serif have generally pointed out that PSD is a proprietary and (in many areas) an undocumented format, which is true. Anyone trying to support those functions needs to invest the time to reverse-engineer the file format, and risks making mistakes doing that, and then having to keep reacting to further changes in that area.
