PaulT59
Hi, I'm looking for a photoshop replacement for Mac. I don't do much complicated manipulation, I general work on location and need to send images quickly. In Photoshop I have a lots of simple actions, linked to function keys, shadow and highlight correction, save and close etc. Does Affinity have an equivilent to actions? Maybe it's possible to assign keyboard shortcuts? Any help gratefully recieved. Regards, Paul.
David in Яuislip
Photo has Macros and Batch Jobs which goes part of the way but is nowhere near as useful as PS actions link to online helphttps://affinity.help/photo2/English.lproj/pages/Macros_Batch/macros.html Macros cannot be assigned to a keypress and are essentially uneditable Various commands can be assigned as keyboard shortcuts eg Probably best if you use the free trial to establish if Photo can do what you needhttps://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/photo/ Quote Microsoft Windows 11 Home, Intel i7-1360P 2.20 GHz, 32 GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Intel Iris Xe Affinity Photo - 24/05/20, Affinity Publisher - 06/12/20, KTM Superduke - 27/09/

PaulT59
Macros seem to work really well. However there's one slight problem. I'm trying to create a macro that will save an image to s specific folder, and close it. When I go to the file drop down menu, the save and save as options are greyed out. It doesn't make a difference if I've edited the file or not. Could it be because I'm using the trial version?

No, the trial is the same as the retail version You cannot use save in a macro, if you want to run a macro then save the file you need to create a New Batch Job, select the macro(s) to apply then run the batch Quote Microsoft Windows 11 Home, Intel i7-1360P 2.20 GHz, 32 GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Intel Iris Xe Affinity Photo - 24/05/20, Affinity Publisher - 06/12/20, KTM Superduke - 27/09/
