Nick66 Posted June 27, 2023 Posted June 27, 2023 I used to use an (very) old copy of Paint Shop Pro for doing pixel level edits on bitmaps for coding. My copy just stopped working, reinstalled too many times (20 times since 2005!). I have the Affinity suit and want to start using Affinity Photo for this, but there is one thing missing. The "Pixel Tool" is fine for individual pixels and short lines, but for longer lines, for example the edge lines defining regions on a 9-patch bitmap for android for example, there is a problem because the Pen tool is not pixel aware. If I try to draw a long straight solid black line, with the snap set to pixel align, the Pen Tool snaps to the edges of pixel not the middle so creates a anti-aliased line. The only option is to try and draw the line free hand, making copious use of undo when it goes wrong. Is there any other way to do solid lines with clearly defined widths at single pixel scales? Nick66 Posted June 27, 2023 Author Posted June 27, 2023 Yes! That will do the job. Just had a play around with it. Got to be careful not to hit shift too soon to avoid triggering the continue last stroke option. But works well. Thanks! Quote

Yes, Click+Shift vs Drag+Shift not exactly comfortable.
