Kate77
I work on MAC and I bought affinity version 2 on the Affinity site. I can't manage to update to 2.1 and each time I get this message
MikeTO
Hi, if you can't the automatic update to work you can download the update from the Serif store. Go to store.serif.com, click the profile icon in the upper right corner, sign in, click Menu in the upper right corner, choose My Account, and you'll find Downloads in there. You will get that message if you are running Photo 2 from the original DMG file you downloaded, instead of copying it to Applications. stokerg 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. iPad: iPad Pro M1, 12.9": iPadOS 17.3, Apple Pencil 2, Magic Keyboard Mac: 2023 M2 MacBook Air 15", 16GB memory, macOS Sonoma 14.3.
Staff stokerg Posted June 28, 2023 Staff Share Posted June 28, 2023 Hi @Kate77and Welcome to the Forums, As @walt.farrellhas explained, you'll see that error when running Affinity from the original DNG file. If you open Finder, you should see the Affinity Photo DMG listed under Locations and if you double click that you should see a window with the Affinity icon on and also an icon for Applications. Just click and drag the Affinity icon to the Applications icon and that will install Affinity correctly. Once that's done, open Applications and you'll able to start Affinity and you should then be able to install the update
