EEvgeniy Posted June 27, 2023 Posted June 27, 2023 Hej! I really love how good Publisher is with creating any of things that could be either shown or printed. But when it comes to a creative process, pages are more variants than really pages. And today was a day I saw that Designer have "artboards" that seens far more convenient for that purpose. So I tried but can't figure out is it possible to set guides, columns and rows as default for every new artboard? PS Or maybe there's "special mode" in Publisher available where pages can be displayed like artboards?
thomaso Posted June 27, 2023 Posted June 27, 2023 One way (or workaround ?) could use an Artboard or its items as Symbol (=master) and nest the symbol as child within other artboards, if you use an Artboard layer it includes its guides (alternatively you could use custom curve objects as snapping guides), for instance: • MacBookPro Retina 15" | macOS 10.14.6 | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1 • iPad 10.Gen. | iOS 18.6.2 | Affinity V2.6.3

Odd, – to me it feels like a typical or a key feature of AD, and, as objects, possibly more powerful or flexible than APub's master pages. https://affinity.help/designer2/English.lproj/index.html?page=pages/SymbolsAssets/symbols.html?title=Symbols EEvgeniy 1 • MacBookPro Retina 15" | macOS 10.14.6 | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1 • iPad 10.Gen. | iOS 18.6.2 | Affinity V2.6.3
