Chrishundl Posted June 26, 2023 Posted June 26, 2023 Hello everyone, I am looking at making my own leather patterns through designer and want to be able to easily and efficiently make my holes for my stitching punch. My problem was answered in this thread linked below: I tried to follow the solution here but just cannot see how he got it to all space equally and also to line up at each corner of the stitch line. Could anyone help me with this solution? Thank you!! Quote
Hangman Posted June 26, 2023 Posted June 26, 2023 Hi @Chrishundl, and welcome to the forums, I'm unsure if you're using v1.X or V2 of Designer but v2 introduced balanced strokes which means it's now much easier to position dots/holes at equal intervals and you can also do a bit of basic maths with regards to positioning of said dots/holes to ensure they are positioned exactly where you need them. Could you confirm which version of Designer you are using then we can perhaps create some more precise instructions. The last post – "I Did it :))))" – and its first screenshot of @Daniel 25 in your linked thread seems to indicate that the total line was created by 3 separate curves to ensure the corner points at the wanted positions. This way you can achieve equal spaces between the dots of every single line but not a specific and identical distance for all curve lenghts, for maths reasons, as mentioned in that thread before.
