MikeTO Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 I can't reproduce this but I'm reporting this one because there are sometimes similar reports of Affinity crashing after a long period of non-use. It happens to me about once a month or so. I opened Publisher 2.1.1 RC (which I'm using because I have it set up nicely), opened my document, made no changes other than to search for a word and click the search result, and then switched to another app. I left it for a couple of hours so it went to sleep, did some work in another app, realized Publisher was still open so I chose quit, and it crashed. Staff stokerg Posted June 26, 2023 Staff Posted June 26, 2023 Hi @MikeTO, I couldn't replicate this, but perhaps I didn't let my Mac sleep long enough. I'll retest and leave it longer and see what happens Quote

I'm not adept at reading crash reports but there's a line in there which makes it sound like a resource shortage which I assume refers to ram. After I'd opened my document I used several other apps for a good while before putting it to sleep. Then when I woke it I used a few other apps before noticing Publisher was running. I assume PUblisher was entirely paged out of memory by the time I reactivated it. Now it crashed when I chose quit which I did immediately. I could imagine an issue could exist with quitting an app before it had fully loaded back into memory. Just a guess.
