rnmartinez Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 Hi everyone This has been an ongoing issue; normally I solve it by either downsampling my PDFs, or exporting problem pages as a high res TIF with no layers, then opening it in designer and turning it into a PDF, and then adding it back in and re-exporting it. Honestly, it is a bit of a pain, so wondering if someone could have a look and see what I am doing wrong. For reference, this is the input: and the output... I am using the latest version of all the v2 suite on macos; I've attached the source file. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Elisio - FINAL July 2023.afpub Quote
Oufti Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 I exported your file in PDF (Préréglages : PDF pour impression) on my Mac and I don't have the problem you had (only missing fonts). Perhaps could you post a screen capture of your export presets ? Quote Affinity Suite 2.5 – Monterey 12.7.5 – MacBookPro 14" 2021 M1 Pro 16Go/1To I apologise for any approximations in my English. PaoloT Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 Most, or maybe the only, issues I have had when generating PDF files from InDesign have been caused by fonts. Very old fonts, corrupt ones. Maybe the same can happen with Publisher. Paolo Quote
Staff Callum Posted June 26, 2023 Staff Posted June 26, 2023 This file also seems to export fine for me here, please could you provide a copy of the font used in this document just so we can rule this out? Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
rnmartinez Posted June 30, 2023 Author Posted June 30, 2023 Hi everyone The font is Silver Age LC from Blambot. I will post only for the purposes of debugging; anyone wanting to use this font for their own work should buy a license Thanks for your help! Here are the fonts and the export settings: SILVERAGELCBB.OTF SILVERAGELCBB_BOLDITAL.OTF SILVERAGELCBB_ITAL.OTF SILVERAGEUCBB_BOLDITAL.OTF SILVERAGEUCBB_ITAL.OTF SILVERAGEUCBB.OTF Quote
MikeW Posted June 30, 2023 Posted June 30, 2023 Please remove the fonts. Blambot can be persnickety about such violations. Typically it is ok to provide them to application developers privately. R C-R 1 Quote
Staff Pauls Posted June 30, 2023 Staff Posted June 30, 2023 you could try disabling metal acceleration and seeing if that makes a difference. Quote
