Renew Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 Hi, I’m wondering if someone can help me. When I open the layers panel, I have two tabs that show object. That kind of transparent and there’s no way to delete them every time I open a new document they’re still in there. I’m still in the trial. And so I’m finding this a little frustrating, as these transparent tabs obstruct my visibility to the other tabs. Is there anyone that can help me figure out how to delete them? See screen shot. I forgot to mention I’m using affinity designer 2 on my iPad Pro . Quote
walt.farrell Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. I would suggest, in this order (with a test in between steps to see if the problem has been fixed): Closing the application. Drag up from the bottom of the screen slowly, until you get the app navigator screen. Swipe upward on the Designer 2 tab to dispose of it. Force restarting your iPad. Resetting the Designer app. With the app fully closed (see step 1), start the app. When you get the splash screen, quickly do a 1-finger double-tap on it. You should get a Reset dialog. Leave the items that are already selected, and tap Reset. Renew Posted June 22, 2023 Author Posted June 22, 2023 OK thank you so much, so if I understand correctly, you’re saying I should basically delete the designer app. And then reinstall it from the Apple store? But will this action caused me to lose my work? I’m not sure what you mean about getting the splash screen. I’m a little confused. Quote

No. I did not suggest deleting the app. Nor did I suggest reinstalling. The suggestions were to close the app. And to restart the iPad if that doesn't work. And to partially Reset the app if that doesn't work. Renew Posted June 23, 2023 Author Posted June 23, 2023 I tried as you advised and it did not work. Luckily, I tried my misinterpretation,(lol) thinking oh well, why not. 🤔 Just for the record i did delete the app and restart my ipad and then Reinstalled. Thank God after the reboot everything was fixed and I did not loose any of my work. Maybe this will help someone else. 😊 walt.farrell 1 Quote
