When I use the subtract command on a gold foil look image, the image changes.  It lightens up and it shifts and its position.  There's a texture to the image which is how I can tell that it shifted.  Can someone please verify why this is happening and how to fix it?  Is there a setting that I need to change before I do this command?

@CRA Welcome to the forum.

Can you take a screenshot of the layers panel with any layers that have nested layer expanded so we can see what is going on layer wise.

Are you on mac? if so you can export video to MP4 so that the video will show in browser. Also is the object you are trying to subtract an image placeholder?

Ok, so you import an image as an image layer, convert the image layer to curves and geometry subtract the image placeholder layer from the curves image layer. Unless this behaviour has already been reported I'd say you have discovered a bug.

Ok, to fix this nest the gold foil image in a rectangle and geometry subtract the image placeholder frame from the rectangle.
