No, sorry, guides also don't snap to selections yet.

But you can use a shape with a thin Stroke / without Fill to position the guides, then use the Crop Tool as usual.

 

In AD for me guides will snap to shape bounding boxes if that snapping option is enabled. Is that what you mean?

But you can use a shape with a thin Stroke / without Fill to position the guides (guides will snap to shapes), then use the Crop Tool as usual.

 

MEB, sometimes happen that I have a bit objects scattered on the stage and some of these are not visible. The selection is important for delimit the edges of the cutout.
 
So, I hope that these will the future implementations ;-)
