SFO
In my example I've got a selection as a separate channel. Then I add a Live Filter on an image. After that I realize that I just want to 'activated' this filter only for my selection, and load it from the channel. Unfortunately, I cannot see a way how to apply this selection to my current filter. How can that been done, without re-adding the Live Filter and set all the details there again? Right-click on a filter and 'Refine Mask' seems to create only new selections/masks. -- Steffen
Staff MEB Posted March 10, 2016 Staff Share Posted March 10, 2016 Hello Steffen, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) When you said you got a selection as a separate channel do you mean as a Spare Channel or as an independent Mask Layer? How do you created that separate channel? Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
SFO
Hi MEB, I created this selection before as a Spare Channel. -- Steffen
Staff MEB Posted March 10, 2016 Staff Share Posted March 10, 2016 Ok thanks. In that case select the your Live filter in the Layers panel, then go to the Channels panel right-click on the Spare Channel you created previously and select Load to [your Live Filter's name]. SFO
Ah, great. Was a little bit confused, when I read this the first time and didn't recognized that this is actually my current layer. Maybe it's possible to change the text to something more descriptive for future versions: Load to layer 'Filter's name' (<Channel>) Which would result in my current example: Load to layer 'Curves Adjustment' (Alpha Channel) Thanks, for such a great software!! Congrats to the whole team. -- Steffen
