Designer, artboard and bleed

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Here the problems :

1/ It's possible to create bleeds in a Designer document, but not to see them. View > View mode > Clip to canvas is inaccessible (grey) and always checked. Don't know if it is a bug but it's difficult to design if we can not see the whole artboard with the bleed.

2/ When exporting artboard to PDF, checking "Include bleed" doesn't include bleed. The document is cropped at is final dimension. I think this is a bug.

For me it make artboard unusable for printing document.

Hi @steday,

  1. The issue with bleed not displaying when using Artboards is a longstanding bug which has been logged to be fixed but currently, we have no indication as to when this will happen.

  2. Bleed not showing when exporting to PDF is also a known bug caused when using Layer Adjustments. This bug is also logged and will hopefully be fixed in an upcoming release, though the workaround for the issue is to either nest or group and Layer Adjustments...

The issue "Bleed fails to export when you have an adjustment layer on an artboard" (REF: AF-413) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.3.0.2150".
This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Serif Info Bot to notify us.
