OSea Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 if accidentally hit trackpad wrong and rotate work by a couple degrees, there is no recovery that i can find other that the shut down the file and lose all edits. Why would an accidental screen rotate result in such a destructive effect? Undo doesn't help with such a situation. I wouldn't bitch, but this is the third time I've lost real work due to this. Quote
Hangman Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 Hi @OSea and welcome to the forums, Does View > Reset Rotation not work for you? Canvas rotation is not currently recorded in the History panel because these aren't edits to the document itself, just your visual perspective, which makes perfect sense, though there has been mention of making this a feature request... BlueLiner Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 Canvas rotation used to drive me nuts. Easy enough to reset per Hangman, but I suggest disabling alt + scroll wheel rotation. Go to your settings and under Tools, uncheck "Enable canvas rotation with Alt+scroll wheel". ben10syd 1 Quote

There is nothing destructive about it. @Hangman explained why it is not & how to reset it. Note that you can use a keyboard shortcut for View > Reset Rotation if you want so you don't have to open the menu. ben10syd Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 Omg Thank You. Accidentally rotation on via scroll + cmd drove me nuts and the shortcut xyz+R is not functional. Whoever made this UX design experience... seriously. On 6/15/2023 at 6:44 AM, BlueLiner said: Canvas rotation used to drive me nuts.
