Erikur Posted June 13, 2023 Posted June 13, 2023 I want the 2.0 / 2.1 very much, but since you have raised the price to almost the double of what I paid for 1, do you have a upgrade offer for Affinity Photo, and not the whole suite? Tomthepen and jstech 2
Staff StevenS Posted June 13, 2023 Staff Posted June 13, 2023 Hi @Erikur, welcome to the forum. Unfortunately we do not have an upgrade path from V1 to V2 single app licences. We do not have any discount codes or promotions available on our website currently, but we do have discounts from time to time and to be sure that you do not miss out, please keep an eye on our social media channels. As soon as any discounts go live, you can be certain that we will announce them there first. If you have an Affinity Store account, you can also update your email preferences from within your account so that we can let you know of any discounts via email.https://store.serif.com/account/details/ Any spelling or grammatical errors found in the above post are deliberate and included to boost the self-esteem of those who spot them.
Tomthepen Posted June 13, 2023 Posted June 13, 2023 Yeah, there seems to be a big problem with this because for example I started a project on in AP V1 Mac desktop transferred it to iPad (not realising my iPad had V2) and now I can't transfer back so I am forced to finish all transferred projects on the iPad.
jstech Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 i have the same problem as erikur. i have v1. i do not need the whole suite of apps, but only affinity photo ver 2. is there any way to upgrade just this app, or do we have to buy the whiole suite of products, even if we do not need them.

You can buy the applications individually, but: You do that at full list price for the application you choose, unless there is a sale going on at that time. Only the purchase of a Universal license has an ongoing discount of 25%, when the user has already registered a V1 purchase. The license you get is only for one OS platform: either Windows, macOS, or iPadOS. You do not get a license that allows you to use the application on multiple platforms, as you do with the Universal license. If you have V1 licenses for multiple Affinity applications, say Photo and Designer, you can transfer work between them using File > Edit in <the other app>. Or if you have Publisher, too, you can use StudioLink (Publisher Personas). That works only with apps of the same version. You can't use those functions between a V1 and a V2 app. -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop 1: Windows 11 Pro 24H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU.
